Hi,
my name is Brittany, but people just call me Brit. I live in
Missouri, in the St. Louis area. I am 16 years old. I enjoy
playing sports, just about anything. Preferably gymnastics,
dancing, and cheerleading. I am very well-rounded, so I can
help anyone in just about any area. I love being a girl and
doing "chick" stuff (make-up, fashion, boys, the whole nine
yards). I like to give advice, on any topic, but I love to give
dating advice. Mostly, I just love being a teenager.
I
am going to be writing articles on things that you want to talk
about. You can write to me care of Cool
Nurse.
Please
send me your stories and I will chose the ones that best fit
the topic of the week. You can submit poems, drawings, or photos.
E-mail your story to coolnurse@coolnurse.com
My
first topic is going to be about your Most Embarrassing Moment,
we have all had them. Let's compare and see who really had the
most embarrassing. I am also looking for your Worse Date
stories, so send them in and we will pick out a bunch and post
them on this page. Thanks!
Embarrassing
Moments
by Brit...
We've
all experienced it. Whether we've laughed until we've cried,
or turned bright red. You just can't go through life without
having experienced an embarrassing moment. I'm sure all the
girls have laughed at the Why Me? column they feature in Teen
Magazine.
Real
life teens send in their most embarrassing stories, and Teen
publishes them. Well, for a certain girl and even boy, that
moment may have been life wrecking or mortifying. But we just
sit back and laugh so hard at something that was humiliating
for them. Eventually, we'll all look back on these moments and
laugh. Some of us may even laugh at them the moment they happen.
These
embarrassing moments will forever flourish in our memories.
They're the type of things you never forget, kind of like your
best friend, or your first kiss. You may have fallen up the
steps at school or had a booker hanging out of your nose while
you were talking to your crush. It always seems that when it
happens you are the talk of the town, but are somehow forgotten
when someone else does something to embarrass themselves. A
life saver is what I would call that person. You are suddenly
the person everyone knows, but to you, you are the person everyone
makes fun of. You are mysteriously saved, and at least one person
will always remember what happened, YOU!
As
if it's not bad enough to have experienced something embarrassing.
Having a really bad date can top the list. Your date might have
spilled his soda on your dress. There's nothing like walking
around town the rest of the night with a huge brown spot on
your brand new dress.
My
Bad Date, not, but Embarrassing Moment:
I
have yet to have a bad date. It hasn't happened yet. But I do
have some embarrassing moments. I remember when I started dating
my boyfriend, we weren't quite as close as we are now, so we
felt kind of awkward around each other. We were going to a carnival
one night. It was one of the carnivals where the whole school
is there. He had just parked his car and we began walking. I
was wearing these really cute platform sandals, they were kind
of uncomfortable. We were getting closer to the carnival and
my boyfriend met up with one of his friends. The next thing
I know I'm sitting on the sidewalk, scraping rocks off of my
legs. I had tripped over a dip in the sidewalk. To make things
worse, I had just made a great impression on one of his friends.
"Yea, Hi, I'm his klutzy girlfriend." I guess we all need humor
in our lives though. ~Brit~
Here are
some of the Most Embarrassing Moments
that were already sent to Cool Nurse:
My embarrassing moment was when I was in math class and everyone
saw that I stuffed my bra because the tissues I used were coming
out when I was called to go write some answers on the blackboard.
That was really embarrassing! - Annie in Denver.
My boyfriend just got on the net and his own e-mail address.
He gave it to me, but I misspelled his addy.... WOW! HUGE mistake.
The letter was really mushy saying "I love you and you're the
only one for me." Wow, was I surprised when "Laura B." e-mailed
me back saying that she loved me too. Apparently, I had e-mailed
a girl my love letter... and my phone number. - Kelly, in Delaware
Okay, this is really embarrassing, but here goes... My friend
was having a pool party, we have them a lot in Florida. There
were about 15 guys there and about 17 girls. I was having my
period and was using tampons. We decided to have lunch, so I
put shorts on over my bathing suit after I changed my tampon.
This guy I really had a crush on was at the party and while
he was talking to me and he said "Hey, you have a string hanging
out of your shorts." Ugh!!! I was in such a rush that I didn't
notice or check it first! - Jen in Orlando, Florida
